Introducing, HAILSTORM

Anyone who knows Tyler, knows that he LOVES music.
They also might know that he has always wanted to be in a band.
This year, his dreams came true.
Introducing..... the newly formed band, HAILSTORM!
Below are a bunch of pictures to commemorate the band and their big moment!

Three wards from our Stake were having a "Swapa-palooza".
What is a Swapapalooza you ask?
You bring items of yours that you no longer need or want.
While there, you might spy something you need or want.
It's pretty much a glorified garage sale... except everything's free.
The activities committee asked our friend Jayd to form a band to play some music while the swap was going on. Lucky for Jayd, he knew a drummer!
They asked Ty to play the drums for the band, and he ROCKED!
Ty created a logo for the band which we transposed into t-shirts.
Here I am modeling my one-of-a-kind Hailstorm tee.

Here I am posing with the drummer of the band Hailstorm. Ooo-la-la!

Imagine my surprise when he bent down and SMACK! Kissed me right on the lips! (Okay, so we were actually trying to gross out our photographer, Talmage. It worked! Notice how he still took the picture, he secretly liked it.)

Hailstorm groupies.

The man. The legend. Lars (a.k.a. Tyler).

Let's Go from Tyler Pearson on Vimeo.

The fans.... yes, they mostly consisted of wives and families. Here is Natalie, wife of the lead vocalist, Randy. Rock on Natalie, rock on!

The Hailstorm band from left to right: Josh, Randy, Jayd, Tyler, Steve and Barry.
They were so good! I'm asking Tyler to put a video up on my blog so you can check these guys out!

After it was all said and done, Maidie was the first to strip off her Hailstorm tee. She ended up spilling her lunch on it, which enabled her to ride her trike in the buff. A win-win in her book!

Ribbit.... That's Disgusting!

I've noticed that I've written a lot about this lizard lately, but come on,
if you looked our your front window and saw this face looking up at you, wouldn't you blog about it too? Today something unexpected happened though...

Our green little friend is pretty predictable. He doesn't do much other than
lay around on the flower box, or do his push up's while flexing out that giant
red thing under his chin. Today, we got quite a different show. He started licking his lips
(I don't think he has lips, but we'll call them that for lack of better terminology) like he was hungry, and then all of the sudden....

Wham! He starts eating the dead flesh from his own tail!
This is National Geographic material here people, going on in my front yard!

The kids all began to shriek, "that's disgusting!", and it was!
A lizards got to do, what a lizards got to do!
Below is a picture of him holding the remnants of his former tail covering,
just before he devoured it. I'm pretty glad we don't have to eat our
own dead skin peelings.

Stay tuned for more exciting adventures of Ribbit... the WONDER lizard!

Our Creature

No, our creature is not Miss Maidie Ann....
although, she sometimes ACTS like a creature!
She is once again looking to find our little window friend, Ribbit.

Who happens to be here this afternoon!

When he spies us, he decides he's not in the mood to show off. He abruptly descends to his window apartment below our flower box.... but we can still see him.
When he discovers that we aren't going anywhere, he turns tail and hides.
Lizards are so fickle!
Take a look at these lovelies! I just have to squish 'em... often!

Random Photos of Miss Maidie

It's always fun to find pictures on the camera that I didn't take.
Random moments shared by Tyler and the kids.
Here are a few of Miss Mae Mae.....

Looks like they were having fun!
