Nights Like These

The thing I miss most about living away from family is
nights like this...
This is the view from Ty's parents back deck as the sun was setting, beautiful!

Once the sun begins setting we love to go out back and enjoy the cool of the evening and let the kids run around. Sometimes the best evenings are the ones where there's nothing big planned.

Maidie has found a kindred spirit in her cousin Adessa. Both love dresses, princesses and are a bit on the theatrical side.

Dode had an itching to make a water balloon sling, Granny Great was happy to oblige and helped him create one. He brought it up the night we were there and let the boys go to town with it. Here are Sheldon and John preparing their ammo.

Miss. Mae could care less about the water balloons, she was entranced by the rock water fall, and Gucci's dress up clothes.

.... and her cousin.

The launch....

According to Talmage and Eric, a good launch consists of pulling the rubber band so far back that once you let go you fall to the ground from all your exertion.

....those balloons go pretty far with the combination of three people launching them. After every launch the boys stopped, stared and admired their manly efforts. It was as if they were gazing at a loved one leaving.....

The ladies even took a turn. Us Pearson women aren't much for just sitting around watching.
Addy Dawn's turn!

Ash.

The Water Balloon Bandits! Watch out golfers below, the Water Balloon Bandits may be sending some love your way. Muahhhaahaa!

The Ladies: Granny Great, Grandma Riley, Shannon, Ashley and Gucci

It was a delightful evening with hot dogs, marshmallow roasting, dress-up, water balloon launching, picture taking, good conversation and family. Thanks Gucci!
